Angie Ashworth

Angie Ashworth is a retired teacher with 34 years of classroom experience. She spent the last 20 years of her career teaching kindergarten, with a focus on developing students’ handwriting skills through direct, explicit instruction. During that time, Angie worked closely with Carol Armann, an occupational therapist, to strengthen handwriting instruction in the classroom. Angie’s kindergarten class competed annually in a national handwriting contest, earning state recognition and a national win in 2021. Her students also achieved the highest literacy scores in her district. Today, Angie is an active church member, volunteer, and community participant, continuing her lifelong commitment to education and service.
